WHAT IS THOMAS HELL?

Thomas heel is used for heightening middle part of a shoe's sole for a couple of mm (depended on child's age and height). This construction seems to change the way of weight in growing legs parts, slow down growth velocity in the middle part (that is more burdened) and keep the pace of leg growth from sides. It is also used for correction of shank axis bend outwards from the central axis (crookedness). Results are visible after dozen of months (time depends on pace of child's growth).
